Original Olivetti Studio 44 mechanical typewriter, finished in the characteristic blue-green color and supplied with the accompanying burgundy transport case.
The Studio 44 was introduced in 1952 and belongs to the recognizable post-war designs of Italian industrial designer Marcello Nizzoli. The model combines the mobility of a portable typewriter with the robustness and typing comfort of a professional office machine.
This specimen is equipped with a Belgian/French AZERTY keyboard, round keys and the original two-tone ribbon mechanism. The original Olivetti Studio 44 model badge is still nicely present.
The typewriter has been tested. The keys, space bar, carriage, paper feed and line return function. A photo of the current typing result is part of the photo series. Given the age, local maintenance or replacement of the ribbon may be advisable.
The machine is in an authentic vintage condition with visible signs of aging and use. The housing shows scratches, slight discolorations and localized paint damage. The mechanism and the case also show dust, buildup and normal wear. The case remains a valuable and decorative original accessory.
