AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Offering:

1 exceptional and rare Jian ware flared-rimmed hare's fur tea bowl

Description:

Flared rim, straight walls, and a ring foot. The body is a dark clay color. Glazed inside and out; the bottom is unglazed. The glaze drips thickly, appearing dark brown. Because the glaze is fine and drips downwards, resembling hare's fur, it is called a "hare's fur tea bowl," a style characteristic of Jian ware black-glazed porcelain.

This piece dates back to the Song-Jin period, approximately 1100-1279 AD, and was made by Chinese hands. The materials and exposed body indicate its material and production date.

Condition:

Good condition, with signs of use, a slight chip on the rim, no cracks, no signs of repair, produces a clear sound when tapped, and has been examined with strong UV light. (Please refer to the photos if the text is not clear enough.)

Specifications:
Diameter (cm): 12.20
Bottom Diameter (cm): 3.90
Height (cm): 5.50
Weight (g): 225.00

Shipping:

We will arrange for a professional courier company to handle the shipment, ensuring safe and reliable packaging, with a tracking system and shipping insurance. (Packaging box and base not sold separately)

Note:

Slight color differences may occur between the photos and the actual item. Thank you for your understanding.
