It has a top in spectacular black Marquina marble, among the finest marbles you can find as a configuration.

The table is still manufactured by Knoll and new list price is over 10k.

The table is to be considered in near-new condition.
The brand is still present on the underside of the base and the die-cast brand on the table base, 'Knoll International 164'.

The Saarinen (or Tulip) by Knoll is an iconic table from the famous Finnish-American architect and designer Eero Saarinen, from whom it also inherits its name.

Eero Saarinen designed the famous table in 1956 within his “Pedestal Collection” series, with the main objective of creating a piece of furniture that was extremely functional and versatile, yet elegant and without superfluous components. It is characterized by a top that seems to float in balance on a slender, tulip-shaped base, hence the name Tulip, designed to eliminate the “problem” of table legs and to offer a sense of lightness and visual continuity.
