Elegant Portuguese drop-leaf table, dating from the 20th century, made of mahogany in a reddish-brown tone, with a design inspired by 19th-century furniture. Features a shaped top with two articulated side leaves, allowing a substantial increase in usable surface. The waist, with a wavy outline, incorporates a central drawer with a lock. It rests on two turned and fluted legs, joined by a similarly turned crosspiece. The base is composed of carved and cut feet, terminating in scrolls, giving the piece a particularly decorative presence. A versatile item, suitable for use as an occasional table, coffee table, small desk, or decorative element in classic interiors. The drawer and the leaves are functional.
