L. Stroganow is the author/illustrator of the Russian photo and art book Moskva. Vedy Moskovy (Moscow. City Views), a bound first edition from Kunstverlag IZOGIZ published in 1955, with 77 pages and about 69 high-quality tinted plates documenting postwar Moscow.

34x26 cm, clean inside and out, the cover worn at the bottom right, plates in very good condition.
1965 appeared at State Art Publishing IZOGIZ (Gosudarstvennoye izdatelstvo izobrazitel'nogo iskusstva).
The minimalist cover design with the silhouette of the Kremlin wall and the Descent Tower (Spasskaya Tower) was designed by the famous Soviet artist and graphic designer Iwan Fjodorowitsch Rerberg.
This is a representative album and contains over 69 high-quality tinted plates and photographs that document postwar Moscow, historic monuments, central squares, and monumental Soviet architecture of the 1950s.
The work is regarded by collectors today as one of the most beautiful and high-quality photo books about historic Moscow from that era.
The actual creators of the content are the best-known Soviet photojournalists and architectural photographers of the period, including Georgi Petrusow, Iwan Schagin, Naum Granowski, Dmitri Baltermants, I. Akulenko, S. Sorkin, and A. Stoljarenko.
