A rare side table in the typical style of the 1950s/1960s from Germany.
Classic kidney shape and extraordinarily beautiful design with the white-and-black checks.
Wooden table with an elegant brass trim, the checks made of contemporary original plastic.
Good condition with light signs of aging. Two small holes – see photos.
The four legs are solid and stable! One black check has lifted slightly – see photo 9.
Originally there were probably only three legs mounted (see underside), but the fourth leg was very likely added in the 1950s/1960s for better stability. All four legs are identical and original.
An extraordinarily beautiful vintage object from my long-standing private collection that is looking for a new home.
