Description from the seller

Magnificent French centerpiece, distinguished by its impeccable presence, mirror-like shine, and exceptional craftsmanship. This piece combines the classic opulence of French silversmithing with unparalleled modern versatility, making it ideal for gracing a formal table or crowning a sideboard or display cabinet.
-Origin: France (Both the piece's morphological design and distinctive characteristics faithfully adhere to the canons of French silversmithing from the first half of the 20th century).
-Period: First half of the 20th century (ca. 1910-1940).
-Style: Transitional classical influence with marked Louis XV/Rococo details, evident in the curved forms and organically inspired motifs.
-Material: Silver-plated alpaca (German silver or Maillechort in France).
-Manufacturing Technique: High-precision metalwork with molding and polishing. The fine casting and chiseling of the ornamental parts is particularly noteworthy: the four stylized claw-style legs, the elegant side handles with leaf and shell reliefs, and the textured top knob in the shape of a fruit (artichoke/pineapple) atop detailed leaves.
-Hallmarks: No hallmarks or visible stamps (common in high-quality tableware made to order or by artisan workshops that prioritized the visual purity of the metal). -Measurements:
*Total height (with lid): 22 cm
*Height of the body (without lid): 13.5 cm
*Total width (handle to handle): 34 cm
*Maximum diameter of the body: 25 cm
*Diameter of the opening: 21.5 cm
*Diameter of the base: 15.5 cm
*Handle dimensions: 8.5 cm long x 7.5 cm high
-Condition: Good condition with minor damage, patina, and signs of use consistent with its age and as shown in the photos.
-Versatility: The great advantage of this design is its incredible adaptability to modern décor:
*Classic Soup Tureen: Perfect for serving at large dinners or special events.
*Classic Soup Tureen: Perfect for serving at dinner parties or other special occasions. *Centerpiece: With the lid removed, its deep, wide-mouthed bowl is ideal for creating stunning floral arrangements, displaying fragrant potpourri, or using as an elegant fruit bowl.
*Display Piece: Placed with its lid on an entryway console, sideboard, or display cabinet, it acts as a focal point of light and sophistication thanks to its ability to reflect its surroundings.
A unique opportunity to acquire a piece from the great French tableware tradition that will bring distinction, history, and an unmistakable touch of light to any setting.
