Description from the seller
Neo-Rococo mahogany étagère console with marble top - late 19th century. Elegant free-standing étagère console, in Neo-Rococo style, also known as Louis XV Revival, probably European, datable to the late 19th century. Structure in mahogany wood, presenting a reddish-brown tone and an attractive antique patina. With cut and wavy lines, it consists of two open shelves, carved and pierced side supports, hanging turned elements, and an expressive central cartouche decorated with vegetal motifs and scrolls. The piece is finished with a removable white marble top, cut to follow the sinuous profile of the structure. A piece that is both decorative and functional, suitable for an entry hall, living room, library, or for displaying porcelain, sculptures, and other decorative objects. It shows signs of use and wear consistent with age, including scratches, small flaws; the feet were originally glued and have been reinforced with screws. The marble top is removable, facilitating transport. Dimensions: 88 × 96 × 48 cm.
