Christofle La Main du Destin. Silver-plated, made in France circa 1970 — one of the more singular objects in the Christofle catalogue. The palm engraved in French with the classical lines of chiromancy, the Christofle mark impressed on the reverse. At 450 g it has the weight of a proper sculptural object. The piece that earns its place on a desk, a shelf, or a console without explanation.
