Description from the seller
HeroQuest, the legendary fantasy dungeon-crawler board game, in one of its most sought-after vintage editions. This is the Italian vintage edition published by MB Giochi (Milton Bradley) in 1989, born from a collaboration with the mythical Games Workshop. The game simulates a tabletop role-playing experience, managed through an asymmetric system. Roles: One player takes the role of the Master (called Morcar in this old European edition, or Zargon in the American version and in later remakes). Morcar controls the monsters and knows the secret dungeon map. The other players portray the four iconic Heroes: the Barbarian, the Dwarf, the Elf, and the Wizard. The heroes must cooperate to overcome a series of 14 progressive scenarios (the “Quests”), accumulating gold and treasure to buy new equipment between sessions. Characters move by rolling dice and reveal rooms or corridors only when they physically open doors or come into line of sight. Combat and defense are resolved with special battle dice imprinted with skulls and shields. As can be seen from the images and the photo of the contents of the box, the game is complete with all accessories needed for the adventures, including the block notes for the game’s notes. The only blemishes are: the absence of an open door, the Gargoyle’s wings that came out broken and were duly glued 37 years ago, and the box being slightly worn. A hard-to-find game destined for Vintage and role-playing enthusiasts. Shipping via Poste Italiane.
