Ewer (3) - Copper

Here we see very old, remarkable jugs made of an alloy of copper and brass, equipped with all the artisanal features and details you can imagine. From the sturdy construction with dovetail joints to the pronounced patina: these pieces are a feast for the eyes. The provenance is a mystery, although I have seen similar specimens dated to the 18th century. Whether that also applies to these showpieces, I cannot say with certainty.
