A charming and functional wall cabinet from the 1960s, where practical use and the clear design of the mid-century era come together in a beautiful way. This multifunctional piece combines a lockable storage compartment with an integrated coat rack and a metal hat rack, making it an ideal addition to a hallway, kitchen or utility room.

The cabinet is made of wood and finished in a crème‑white coating. The two doors feature characteristic plastic knobs with a decorative amber accent. Under the cabinet there is a chrome rail with four adjustable curtain rings and original metal curtain clips, a detail typical of practical kitchen and pantry cabinets from the 1950s and 1960s. In addition, the piece has four fixed coat hooks on the bottom. On top there is a metal rack that serves excellently as a hat shelf or extra storage space.

During the postwar reconstruction period and the 1960s, efficient use of space and multifunctional living were central. Wall units like this one were widely used in compact homes, where every centimeter was used to the fullest. The combination of wood, chrome and plastic details perfectly aligns with the functional design of that era.

The cabinet is in good vintage condition with signs of wear appropriate to its age. The finish shows light wear and small spots, the chrome has a nicely aged patina, and the original components have largely been preserved.
