Table/desk clock - Wood, Brass - 1850-1900 - Portico clock

A French hall clock from 1850.
The clock is made of mahogany with a floral marquetry motif. The bronze surround around the movement and the pendulum is richly decorated. The dial is tin-plated; the Roman numerals are engraved and the numerals are rather faint.
The movement is signed with ornamental letters; the monogram reads J F and is from Japy Frères. The clock runs well and shows signs of wear for its age.
