Silver 2,000 Reis coin with allegorical bust of the Republic facing right, executed in a classic style of smooth lines and surrounded by a ring of stars symbolizing the states of the Brazilian federation. The reverse presents the face value within a crown of branches, surrounded by the national legend and the issue date. This specimen preserves an excellent original mint lustre, sharp reliefs and clean fields, with minimal surface marks consistent with the MS65 grade. Issued during the period of the Brazilian First Republic, it represents one of the most characteristic silver denominations of the country’s monetary system in the early decades of the 20th century.
