Ancient bronze aquamanile (handwashing device) in the shape of a bearded man.
The object is engraved with the Latin inscription "DEUS ET LUMEN" (God and Light) and the year 1575 (MDLXXV).
It is probably a 19th-century replica, used as a liturgical instrument.
Notable are the three feet, the bulbous body, and a hinged lid on top.
This is a 19th-century bronze aquamanile (handwashing) in Renaissance style, likely produced in Germany or Belgium.
Weight is about 1028 grams
