Round coffee table by Ilse Möbel in a mid-century modern style, made of oak with brass feet, dating to 1950–1960, in moderate to heavy used condition with possibly missing small parts.
Description from the seller
Used vintage coffee table with minor signs of wear on the top and clearly visible traces on the brass feet.
1950-1960
Probably treated oak.
As in the 1950s and 1960s Italian design became more popular, some German quality furniture manufacturers, such as Ilse Möbel in this case, picked up designs by famous Italian designers like Gio Ponti or Melchiorre Bega and produced and distributed them in Germany. This coffee table is likely one of those designs that could have been designed by Melchiorre Bega.
Height: 57 cm
Top diameter: 90 cm
Top diameter incl. legs: 95 cm
Leg thickness at the widest point: 5 cm
Brass foot diameter: 6.5 cm
Round coffee table, attributed to Melchiorre Bega. Buy on Pamono https://share.google/hc0JBFMKLoDTWuwTe
According to the assessment of experts at the reputable vintage designer furniture sales site Pamono, the design is attributed to Melchiorre Bega; however this is not a guarantee and is only an assumption. Under my table is the seal of the German company Ilse Möbel, which presumably adapted the potential design of the Italian designer and produced it in slight variation.
