Description from the seller

EKSTREM armchair, in excellent cosmetic condition, used in a photography studio. It has a damage under the seat that was repaired (by third parties) and that has never worsened despite use in the studio. The damage is visible only when the chair is flipped over, as in the photos. There are no loose/frayed wires or other damaged areas.

Ekstrem is a design piece with a strong dramatic presence. It is one of the early postmodern projects in Norwegian design that boldly combines aesthetics and ergonomics, offering extreme comfort in sitting by supporting the body and accommodating movement despite its elaborate design. Its unusual geometry allows sitting forward, with feet flat on the ground, sideways with legs resting on the armrests, or backward, with the torso against the chair’s backrest. For this iconic chair, Varier used the Knit fabric produced by the Norwegian manufacturer Devold. A fabric made from a continuous wool yarn that adapts to the shapes and provides the elasticity required by this type of seating.
