Description from the seller

A classic vintage Yerba Mate straw (bombilla), crafted from silver-plated Alpaca (German Silver) and featuring a solid 18-karat gold mouthpiece (clearly hallmarked "18K").

Key Features:

Body Material: Alpaca (Nickel Silver) body decorated with rich, detailed hand-chased floral and foliage engravings along the stem.

Mouthpiece: Solid 18K gold (stamped).

Filter: Classic spoon-type (cuchara) design with fine perforations. Features a hinged/screw tip at the very end, allowing the filter to be opened for easy cleaning.

Length: 20 cm.

Weight: 29.33 grams.

Origin: South America (likely Argentina or Uruguay), mid-20th century.

Condition: Good vintage condition with authentic character. The metal shows a natural patina and signs of wear; the silver plating on the alpaca base has worn thin in some areas, revealing the warmer tone of the base alloy underneath (please inspect the photos carefully). The opening mechanism of the filter works properly.
