Description from the seller
GENERAL:
Exceptional and very exclusive Suzuki Santana SJ410 from the Limited Special Edition "Nairobi" manufactured in 1988, preserved in a purely original state with only 73,000 real kilometers of use. This iconic off-roader stands out for its impeccable provenance, having belonged to the manager of an official Suzuki dealership in the area, which guarantees the level of care it has received. As a point of great interest for collectors, the special series "Nairobi" is one of the rarest and most coveted limited editions produced under license by the legendary Santana Motor factory in Linares, Spain. Conceived originally with an adventurous and military focus, this model stands out for its lightness and superb agility in open terrain. It incorporates the legendary and rugged 970 cc F10A engine, a four-cylinder block famous in the classic motor world for its extreme mechanical simplicity, zero maintenance, and reliability bordering on indestructible.
BODYWORK AND PAINT:
The paint and bodywork are in very good overall condition, showcasing the characteristic military green color typical of this iconic special series. The car has no structural dents on its sturdy ladder-frame chassis. As a completely original, unrestored collectible piece, it only shows very slight aesthetic imperfections due to age, which actually certify its authenticity and give it a genuine patina highly valued by collectors. It also preserves the original Nairobi edition decals intact.
MECHANICS:
Under the hood is the reliable 970 cc gasoline engine paired with a manual transmission with a 4x4 transfer case, with all mechanical components functioning smoothly, directly, and precisely. The vehicle has been thoroughly serviced recently to ensure perfect operation. The timing belt maintenance is fully up to date, the main fluids have been recently changed, and it is ready to be driven and enjoyed from day one without needing any additional investment.
INTERIOR:
The cabin presents an impeccable, clean, and extremely well-kept appearance for its age. Everything inside remains strictly original, keeping the seats, trims, and dash in their factory original condition. The only modification from factory is the steering wheel, which has been replaced by a period sports wheel and is delivered mounted in the visual condition shown in the vehicle’s images.
DOCUMENTATION:
The vehicle is formally registered and cataloged as a Historic Vehicle in Spain. It has the major advantage of an active and extended-validity ITV (Vehicle Technical Inspection) and exemption from frequent revisions until 2028. Depending on the resident municipality, this historic status offers total exemption or partial reduction of the road tax and the possibility of obtaining very economical insurance for classic cars.
COLLECTION:
The car is available for inspection prior to and after collection in Olot, Girona province, Spain (including its regional influence area).
OTHER INFORMATION:
We strongly recommend that all interested bidders come to view and inspect the vehicle in person before placing any bid. This ensures a transparent transaction and avoids any surprises or misunderstandings later on.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
