Drum-head mantel clock - L. Barbaste - Marble - 1850-1900

The antique French mantel clock features a black dial with Roman numerals gilded in gold, signed by 'L. Barbaste Paris Rue Auber'. The clock displays the Napoleon III style or the neoclassicism typical of the late 19th century and is made of black marble with bronze detailing. There are two holes in the dial for the factory key. A mechanical movement that chimes the clock and the half-hour.
