The inaugural issue of THE MODEL, published by Tatsumi Shobo in 1964, is a rare vintage magazine representing the early development of postwar Japanese nude photography culture.
The magazine is primarily composed of nude and glamour photography by Japanese photographers and serves as a valuable document for understanding the evolution of photographic expression and visual culture in Japan during the 1960s.
As the very first issue, it is now rarely encountered and has become a scarce and historically significant publication.

Very good condition.
Minor scuffing on the cover and slight wear to the spine. Pages show light age toning and a few small spots.
