Up for auction: one of the most robust and precise 35mm SLRs of the late 1970s—the black-finish Yashica FR. This model is entirely mechanical for shutter speeds but equipped with an electronic meter and an innovative short-throw electromagnetic shutter button, offering an exceptionally smooth shooting experience. It is paired with its high-end standard lens, the Yashica ML 50mm f/1.7. The lot includes the original black leather vintage strap visible in the photo.
Lenses: The Yashica ML 50mm lens has clean glass, free of mold, fungus, or deep scratches. The front multicoated anti-reflective treatment is intact. Smooth focus and aperture rings.
Mechanical and Electronics: Camera tested. The shutter responds accurately at all speeds; the upper electromagnetic shutter release system is ready and responsive. The internal meter LEDs in the viewfinder react regularly to changes in light. Battery compartment clean.
Aesthetics: Excellent overall vintage condition. The original black paint is well preserved with minimal and negligible signs of use on the metal edges; the black vulcanite cover is intact and firmly glued.
