Vase Bond n10, unique piece

"The Bond vase was born from the fusion of my ceramic work and the practice of bondage. The anthropomorphic forms of the deformations clash and come together. All of this is contained by a cordage made in Shibari.
Shibari means ‘tied, bound’; this word is used in Japan to describe the art of tying packages, in the West it refers to the art of bondage (kinbaku in Japanese).
Even though the practice evokes a certain violence, by restricting movement, it is in fact an art carried out with a deep respect for the person or object that is bound. The rope must be applied with the right tension; the knots distribute, amplify or release the forces exerted around the piece according to their orientation and tension, and this without ever injuring, damaging, or breaking the thing being bound.

About Lucas Huillet:
Formed at the Camondo School in design and interior architecture. This academic path opened doors to collaborations with prestigious houses and institutions.
In 2018, he created his studio as a space of exploration where ceramics, interior architecture and object design intersect, built around expertise in working with natural materials, enabling the design of unique pieces that are both everyday objects and works in their own right.
Today, the studio continues to combine traditional craftsmanship and contemporary innovation, aiming to create objects that carry meaning and authenticity.

Lucas Huillet’s creations have been exhibited notably at Paris Design Week, Collectible in Brussels, and Dubai’s Al Shindagha Museum.
