The Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 200mm f/4 is a manual-focus M42 screw-mount telephoto prime made by Asahi Optical (Pentax) around 1971, the final and best-coated evolution of the Takumar 200/4 line before Pentax moved to the K bayonet. Its Super-Multi-Coating markedly improves flare control and contrast over the earlier single-coated Super-Takumar. Prized today by adapted-lens shooters for its solid all-metal build, pleasant rendering and effortless compatibility with modern mirrorless cameras via an inexpensive M42 adapter.
