Description from the seller
Are you looking for a atmospherically laid table with a healthy dose of nostalgia and character?
With this authentic antique porcelain dinnerware you bring the warm ambiance of the early twentieth century into your home.
This dinnerware was produced between 1920 and 1939 by the renowned factory EPIAG D.F. (Dallwitz) in the former Czechoslovakia. At that time, this region was known for its sturdy and beautifully crafted export porcelain for the bourgeoisie.
The wavy, scalloped edges are fitted with an elegant gold trim. In the center of each piece shines a refined, multicolored bouquet of romantic field flowers. Each large serving piece bears on the underside the original factory stamp and the handwritten numbers of the master painters from the factory.
What makes this service truly unique is its enormous size and the inclusion of all highly sought-after serving and covering pieces. The set consists of the following 39 pieces:
1 x Large soup tureen with handles and lid
1x Potato dish with lid
1x Sauce bowl with fixed saucer
1x Large round flat serving plate
1x Large oval serving plate
1x Large deep round dish / slab
Accompanying dinnerware (33 pieces
12x Deep soup plates
11x Large flat dinner plates
10x Small plates
I also have 3 more plates with a small vintage usage mark (1x dinner plate with a chip, 2x small plate with a hairline crack). I can include these, as desired, free of charge as spare plates, so you can potentially complete the set for larger groups. Then it becomes a fully 12-piece service.
The dinnerware is in a beautiful and very well-kept antique condition. The gilded rims still shine splendidly on most of the plates. Only a few pieces show a very slight wear of the gold trim over the years, which is inherent to the respectable age of almost 100 years.
A beautiful and immediately usable dinnerware set that will bring atmosphere and character to your dining table right away.
