The dalmatic is an outer robe; one of the paramenta used in the Roman Catholic Church. The kazuifel (chasuble) is the most important garment of the bishop and the priest during the Eucharist.

The word "kazuifel" comes from the Latin word "casula," which means "little house."

There are different colors of kazuifels (chasubles). The color is determined according to the liturgical calendar.

White was the festive color for the Easter and Christmas seasons, for feasts of the Lord and of the Mother of God, for the feasts of the angels and saints (except martyrs), for the Feast of All Saints and a few other major holy days.
