We present to auction a splendid set of three crystal sculptures (centerpieces/table bowls) signed by the acclaimed Belgian designer Anna Torfs. Her work is characterized by reinterpreting traditional Bohemian crystal techniques through a geometric and avant-garde approach.
These three pieces share the artist's unmistakable DNA: they are created through a laborious process where thick layers of colorless crystal (both polished and matte-frosted) envelop a core of intense sapphire/cobalt blue. Subsequently, the piece is cold-cut obliquely, revealing the colored interior and creating a hypnotic play of light, reflections, and refractions.
The lot consists of 3 solid-crystal sculptures with the following features:
