Description from the seller
This magnificent pair of bronze braziers is a masterpiece inspired by classical art, a tribute to refinement and the symbolism of ancient Pompeii. The structures are supported by three dancing fauns, forest deities linked to fertility and the natural world, depicted with extraordinary attention to detail and a graceful pose that evokes movement and lightness. The slender legs, fused with elegant vegetal motifs, transform harmoniously into stable bases, while the sculpted bodies with well-defined musculature enhance the mythological allure of these figures. The fauns gracefully bear a large cup decorated with a pierced border, whose design recalls the refined ceremonial objects of the Roman era. Inspired by Pompeian artifacts, with clear references to classical art and Roman mythology, the mythological fauns, representing fertility, celebration, and a connection with nature. Originally used to hold burning embers, these braziers are perfect today as luxurious decorative elements, capable of embellishing any room with their ancient charm.
