A 17-piece Doyen-style crystal glass service in Art Deco design, dating to circa 1930–1950, featuring green high-manganese glass with matt engravings of grain and grasses and a V-shaped stem, supplied as 1 XL goblet, 8 medium wine glasses, and 8 small liqueur glasses.
Description from the seller
For the connoisseur of authentic Art Deco design and the passionate UV collector: a breathtakingly beautiful 17-piece service set of high-quality crystal glass.
The glasses are executed in the unmistakable style of the famous Belgian glassworks Doyen (Le Roeulx) from the 1930s to the 1950s.
The dinnerware shines with refined, matte engraving (etching) of stylized ears of corn, grasses, and elegant curved lines on the goblet. The goblets taper into a clean trumpet shape (V-shape) ending in a subtle glass knop on the stem. Viewed from above, the light refraction creates a stunning, organic 'flower' effect. A rare beauty and a jewel in the display cabinet.
Magical Light Spectacle (High-Manganese): During the photo session under a 365nm UV lamp, these historic glasses transform into a fabulous light show. Thanks to the exceptionally high, historic manganese content in the crystal, the matte engravings and the bases glow intensely and brightly green. The fine lines glow so sharply that the effect practically rivals uranium glass!
