Description from the seller

My pieces are conceived to be companions rather than possessions.
I endow my objects with organic, animated characteristics, hoping that people will become attached to them as to pets.
Vincent Decat is a Paris-based artist-designer, a graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven, who explores the boundaries between design and sculpture.
He regards an object's durability not only through its materials, but above all through the emotional connection it elicits.
By making his objects almost alive, they become companions that one must care for, keep, and cherish.
The Anémone lamp is designed to embody the diffuse glow and perpetual movement of sea anemones.
Inspired by the natural beauty of the underwater world, it seeks to freeze in a sculptural form the graceful movements of this marine creature.
Technical details:
Operates on 220–230 V power supply with a Type E plug.
Integrated light dimmer on the lamp.

Seller's Story

"My pieces are intended to be companions rather than possessions. I give my objects organic, animated qualities, hoping that people will grow attached to them the way they would to a pet." Vincent Decat is an artist-designer based in Paris, a graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven, who explores the boundaries between design and sculpture. He considers the durability of an object not only through its materials but primarily through the emotional connection we establish with it. By making his pieces almost alive, they become companions that need to be cared for, cherished, and preserved over time.
