Ancient Roman glass drinking chalice on a circular foot, a conical body in iridescent green glass with bluish iridescence, dating to the 2nd–3rd century AD, height 9.2 cm, in good condition.

Chalice or conical drinking cup on a pedestaled iridescent glass base.
Elegant green glass cup with a beautiful iridescence in bluish tones.
Fine wall, body in a rounded cone at the lower part, resting on a circular foot.
Roman Empire, 2nd / 3rd century AD.
Height 9.2 cm - Good condition - restoration
Provenance: Dutch private collection, formed between 1970 and 1974 by a collector working for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and stationed in North Africa.
The seller can prove that the lot was legally obtained; provenance declaration seen by Catawiki.
