Antique Florentine looking-glass from the middle of the 19th century in gilded wood, composed of two distinct parts.

Important Florentine looking-glass dating back to the mid-1800s, crafted in precious wood finely carved and enriched with rich gold leaf gilding. The structure features an elegant rectangular frame, enhanced along the perimeter by elaborate pierced carvings with scrolls, foliate, floral, and ornamental motifs. The upper part is dominated by a grand carved pediment, characterized at the center by a decorative face inserted within a shell-like composition, surrounded by wide volutes and topped by a refined vegetal motif. The lower corners and sides are further embellished by carved elements that give great movement and richness to the whole. The gilding preserves the charm and natural traces of time, visible even on the carved surface, contributing to the authentic and decorative character of the looking-glass.
