1900-2000 Water Analysis Kit (No reserve price)

Rare portable hydrostatic/hydrometer kit from the era, dating to the first half of the twentieth century, used for chemical analysis and the study of water hardness in the field. The kit is housed inside its original wooden box and is exceptionally complete, a very rare feature for this type of scientific objects.
Contents of the kit:
Complete hydrostatic/so-called pharmaceutical balance: including metal pillar, arms and the two original brass dishes.
Glass float (hydrometer): an extremely rare and delicate piece, fortunately intact.
Main set of vintage bottles: original bottles with glass stoppers, including a bottle from the historic G. Gasparini Pharmacy (Piove di Sacco, Padua) and a bottle of 5% Barium Nitrate with a hand-written label.
Secondary bottles: original smaller glass bottles placed in their respective compartments.
Accessories: original Red Litmus Paper box by Carlo Erba Milano, wooden ruler, small funnels and a spirit lamp for heating water samples.
Condition: The item is completely authentic and offered in the state in which it was found. It shows a splendid patina of time with natural signs of oxidation on metal parts and era dust. No restoration or aggressive cleaning has been carried out to preserve the integrity and historical value of the materials and labels.
