Description from the seller

Pair of vintage vases – in Fratelli Toso style – presumably Italy, about 1960s/1970s

For sale is a beautiful, rare pair of matching vintage art glass vases from Murano, Italy.

The vases captivate with their lively, multicolored “Tutti Frutti” (also known as Carnevale or End of Day) decor.

The colorful glass shards and inclusions are masterfully embedded into the glass mass, making each piece an absolute one-of-a-kind.

Particularly elegant are the artfully applied, ribbed handles in deep cobalt blue and the wavy cloverleaf feet made from the same blue glass. The rims are organically undulated, underscoring the dynamic, organic form of mid-century design.

On the vases remain the original round export foil labels “Murano San Marco,” which point to a possible origin in Venetian workshops.

Stylishly and craftsmanship-wise, these pieces are inspired by the famous designs of Fratelli Toso.

Sophisticated collectibles in a remarkable, matching pair – perfect for lovers of Italian design and exclusive glass art.
