Meccano Ltd Liverpool lot from the 1970s, made in the United Kingdom, in very good condition with original boxes and manuals Nos. 1–7, dimensions 35 x 35 x 9 cm (weight 9 kg)
Description from the seller
Meccano Ltd Lot Liverpool, seventies. As is well known, Meccano Ltd Liverpool was produced from its origins up to 1927 in an excellent nickel finish. Then, in the very dark green and red colors of the 1930s and then lighter in the 1950s and very light from 1958. In February/August 1964 the brand was acquired by Lines Group and the colors changed to silver/yellow/black and then to aluminum, yellow and blue, to create a break with the past, but also because they resembled more closely the working equipment used in road works ... excavators, cranes, tractors, etc. This lot of pieces cannot be attributed to a specific set. It is a collection of pieces, which, however, appear to be very well kept. It is not possible to subject it to a checklist, but all the various types of pieces appear well represented (strips, angles, wheels, gears, flexible plates, specialized parts, hardware, etc., etc.). The set is accompanied by manuals, perfectly contemporaneous and in excellent condition, nos. 1-2-3-4-5-6 and 7. The three boxes in excellent condition were produced by Meccano in the late 1970s and, in addition to serving as containers, also served as bases for the construction of the models. The interior partitions in cardboard are present. Dimensions cm. 35 x 35 x 9; weight without packaging 9.00 kg.
