Art Deco stained-glass shopfront dating to circa 1930, in original wooden frames with glass and lead cames, from Amsterdam, Netherlands, comprising three panels measuring 200 cm high by 100 cm wide by 10 cm deep, in good condition with minor signs of aging and spots.
Description from the seller
Exceptional and highly decorative original Art Deco stained-glass shopfront from an old Dutch liquor store (slijterij), dating to approximately 1930.
The complete ensemble consists of four original stained-glass panels:
• Two large decorative windows featuring grape clusters, wine jugs and geometric Art Deco leadwork.
• Two matching upper transom windows with the original painted inscriptions “WIJNEN” (Wines) and “GEDISTILLEERD” (Spirits).
The entire set was carefully salvaged during the demolition of the former liquor store and remains in its original wooden frames.
Original mouth-blown and textured glass, hand-painted lettering and traditional lead cames are preserved.
Condition:
* Original antique condition.
* Several cracked and missing glass sections are present and visible in the photographs.
* Wooden frames show expected wear consistent with age.
* Excellent candidate for restoration or architectural reuse.
