Elegant pair of theatre binoculars signed Gavet Paris, made in France in the early 20th century.
The body is gold-plated brass with a white mother-of-pearl inlay.
They feature a central focus and come with their original black leather case.
The binoculars show a beautiful antique patina. Some traces of oxidation (verdigris) and slight signs of wear are visible, in keeping with their age.
The lenses appear to be in good visual condition and the mechanism seems complete.
An object as decorative as it is sought after by collectors of antique optics, theatre pieces, and the Belle Époque.
Overall good condition with normal wear related to age.
