Armchair - Walnut

Important Luigi Filippo armchair in carved wood and San Leucio brocade, produced in Italy at the end of the 19th century.

Elegant Italian-made armchair,datable between 1860 and 1890, in the Luigi Filippo style, crafted in dark solid wood (walnut) and upholstered in the brocade of the "Royal Bourbon Silk Manufactures of San Leucio" with a floral motif.
The oval backrest is topped by a carved crest with volutes and leaves, while the carved armrests and the moved (turned) front legs give the piece a harmonious and refined appearance.
The structure is solid and well preserved, with original patina and upholstery coherent with the period.
An authentic example of Lombard-Venetian cabinetmaking from the late 19th century, ideal for collectors or period interiors.
The conditions are good, with original patina, but the silk of the armrests is worn in places and there is replacement silk.
