Napoleon III jewelry box in burl veneer, 19th century

Elegant box in burl veneer adorned with marquetry inlays and a brass frame. Central brass cartouche surrounded by an inlaid decorative motif. Interior fully lined with original blue silk. Lock present (key supplied). Marked on the inside E. Bonhomme, 61-62 Palais-Royal, Paris, indicating quality Parisian craftsmanship.

Box to be restored with an antique patina and some normal signs of use.

Élégant coffret en placage de loupe orné de filets de marqueterie et d’un encadrement en laiton. Cartouche central en laiton entouré d’un décor incrusté. Intérieur entièrement capitonné de soie bleue d’origine. Serrure présente (clé fournie). Marqué à l’intérieur E. Bonhomme, 61-62 Palais-Royal, Paris, témoignant d’une fabrication parisienne de qualité. 

Boite à restaurer avec une patine d’époque et quelques traces d’usage normales.
