Spirit by Soundcraft Absolute Zero matched pair, year 1995, passive 2-way studio monitors, 2 pieces, weight 14 kg, includes refurbished, serial number shown in photos, tested and working, physical condition Very Good.
Description from the seller
The Spirit Absolute Zero is a passive studio monitor that was produced by Soundcraft in the 1990s.
Designed by audio designer Trevor Stride.
Specifications:
- Passive 2-way studio monitor.
- Rated for 95 Watts RMS per channel.
- Frequency range: 55 Hz to 18 kHz.
- Bass driver: 170 mm woofer.
- Tweeter: 25 mm soft-dome with a catenary profile.
- Dimensions: 330 x 230 x 290 mm
The tweeter is mounted in an acoustic waveguide, which tunes the dispersion angle to the woofer and provides a linear phase alignment between the two drivers, reducing unwanted reflections off the walls.
Placement: the monitor can be placed both horizontally and vertically.
No listening fatigue: The use of soft materials for the tweeter avoids the sharpness that is more common with metal tweeters, making it more comfortable on the ear.
The test in my workshop:
The sound is breathtaking from the first moment; the midrange is very rich and open with an extremely good treble response.
The bass is clean and clear, the overall presentation is very musical—you just won’t want to disconnect them!
