The Philips N 4420 reel-to-reel tape recorder is a four-track stereo tape recorder from Philips.
It features three heads, three motors and three tape speeds (4.75, 9.5, 19 cm/s), electronically controlled drive, front and rear tape control, tape tension adjustment and automatic shutoff at the end of the tape or when the tape breaks (in later versions). Tape with a back-coated backing can also be used. At the front there are connections for two microphones and a headphone. Also an internal amplifier with speakers and external connections for it, 6W/4 ohm.
