Michel Caugant - Dish - Porcelain

Today at auction we present to you

A ceramic container shaped like a duck designed for the French manufactory Michel Caugant.

These hand-painted, glazed lidded vessels were produced from the 1960s to the 1980s and were originally used for selling luxury pâtés in colonial butcher shops (charcuterie).

On the bottom of the base there is a characteristic signature and an inscription confirming the authenticity and the handcrafted nature of the piece.

These vessels are highly popular vintage-style collectible items
