Very authentic specimen from late 1917 – early 1918
Working UNDERWOOD (typewriter, made in the USA), model 5-M, serial number 961596 (from late 1917 or early 1918) with a unique French QWERTY uppercase keyboard!
Considering its age, it looks good.
Paint, transfers (gold embossing), nickel fittings and glass keys in good condition.
Transport/carrying case not original but functional.
Unfortunately the ink ribbon needs replacing.
Moreover this typewriter shows clearly visible signs of use!
