Description from the seller

FRANCE. Paris 1 Franc. 1916.

- Value: 1 Franc.
- Year: 1916.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE and signature O. ROTY. Reverse: LIBERTE · EGALITE · FRATERNITE · 1 FRANC · 1916.
- Grading: MS63 (PCGS).

1 Franc silver coin of the “Semeuse” type, with an allegorical representation of the Republic sowing to the wind, by Oscar Roty, in a modernist style with great dynamism in the treatment of the drapery and the movement of the hair. The reverse features the value 1 FRANC on an olive branch, surrounded by the national motto, in a balanced and elegant composition. The specimen shows well-defined reliefs, with original shine still perceptible beneath a multicolored patina with golden and bluish tints, especially visible on the reverse. The fields show light marks typical of its grade, maintaining an overall harmonious and attractive appearance in line with its MS63 preservation.

Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to make absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside the EU that has special tax agreements (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
