Quite large axes - knifes made from the local flint of Spiennes and the surrounding area. Typical of the Middle Neolithic Michelsberg culture.
This pieces was specifically used to cut off long blades that could be used as a knife. The Spiennes site near Mons is world famous for its large number of flint mines and is one of the largest exploitations of this product in Europe. The modern local museum is well worth a visit.
In good condition and no restorations
