Description from the seller

Large French Hand-Painted Faience Covered Vase in Apothecary Style – Commemorative Piece, circa 1980.
An impressive large French faience covered vase, beautifully hand-painted in the traditional cobalt blue and white palette inspired by historic Rouen and Nevers ceramics. The elegant baluster-shaped body is richly decorated with flowing acanthus scrolls, stylized floral garlands and ornamental cartouches, showcasing the timeless charm of French ceramic craftsmanship.
Created in the form of a traditional apothecary jar, this decorative covered vase was produced as a commemorative presentation piece, bearing the inscription “PRIX F.S.P. – WARIN 1980” on the front and “M. et B. CHAMBRIN” on the reverse. Rather than serving as a pharmaceutical container, it was intended as an elegant decorative object celebrating a special event or award.
The domed lid, finished with a matching hand-painted finial, perfectly complements the harmonious silhouette. The underside retains the original painted workshop mark.
The vase is preserved in excellent vintage condition.
A beautiful statement piece combining traditional French faience decoration with late 20th-century craftsmanship. Perfect for collectors of French ceramics, country house interiors, or classic decorative displays.
