Description from the seller
1970s Faience hand-painted ceramic table lamp – Traditional floral decor.
A charming hand-painted Delft faience table lamp, beautifully decorated with vibrant polychrome floral motifs and an elegant exotic bird in the traditional Dutch style. Its graceful baluster-shaped neck and rounded body create a timeless silhouette, making it an attractive decorative piece for both classic and eclectic interiors.
Crafted in France during the second half of the 20th century, this lamp reflects the enduring craftsmanship and artistic heritage of French faience. The richly detailed decoration in cobalt blue, orange, green, and ochre stands out against the creamy white glazed ceramic, showcasing meticulous hand-painted workmanship. The underside bears the inscription "Décor Delft Fait Main", confirming its hand-decorated origin.
The lamp has been professionally electrified and is fully functional, ready for immediate use. It remains in very good vintage condition with only light signs of age and use, consistent with its period. The brass socket develops a pleasant patina that enhances its authentic vintage character.
A refined decorative lighting piece that will appeal to collectors of Delft ceramics, vintage interiors, and traditional European decorative arts.
