Antique devotional crucifix made of painted papier-mâché, mounted on a dark wooden cross.
The figure of Christ shows simple yet expressive modeling, with the head tilted, hair and beard painted in brown tones, pale complexion and a polychrome loincloth in green-blue hues.
The cross is wooden and retains a dark finish with evident signs of age.
The work preserves a significant antique patina, with craquelure, abrasions, small losses, lifting and flaking of color, marks compatible with age and the delicate nature of papier-mâché. These features have been deliberately preserved and document the object's authenticity and history.
The back shows the wooden frame and the mounting system for the figure.
