Thermoluminescence is a scientific analysis used to date the last firing of a terracotta work. Scientific procedure validated. QED Laboratory is internationally recognized for the reliability of its tests.
Superb Nok terracotta bust from Nigeria; this is a fragment of a statue. The face is particularly well executed. The features are fine and harmonious. It is a "living" work, it has its own expression. The gaze is vivid and animated. The facial expression is gentle and assured. The style is typical of Nok art. See photos for more details.
