Description from the seller

The Gerber Miming steak knives from the Legendary Blades series are regarded as an icon of Mid-Century Modern design. They were designed by designer Pollock and introduced to the market in 1949, even being included in MoMA New York's design collections.

Key features of this set include:
Materials and Construction
High-carbon blades: Made from a particular high-hardness tool steel (up to 62 HRC) and subsequently chrome-plated to ensure excellent edge retention and rust resistance.
One-piece forged handles: The sleek, ergonomic handles are made from a cast aluminum alloy forged directly onto the blade (an advanced metallurgical process for the era), creating a continuous profile free of rivets or gaps.
Bright chrome finish: The entire knife presents a bright, uniform silver surface.

Dimensions and Design
Length:
Each knife measures overall about 21-22 cm, with a straight, slender blade of about 8-9 cm.
Sculptural aesthetics: The profile is extremely clean and fluid, inspired by modernist sculptural art.
Balance: The fluid transition between the handle and blade offers a balanced and comfortable grip.

Original Packaging
Presentation box: The set is housed in a solid wood case, traditionally American walnut.
Protective interior: The bottom and lid are lined with burgundy red velvet.

Shipping will be insured in professional packaging.
